Keep Your Dog Healthy Campaign
There is a multi-billion international pet products industry – and the corporate goal is to increase profits rather than keep your dogs healthy.
The fact is that there are many ways to maintain health in dogs that don’t involve drugs with side-effects or processed foods that don’t sustain health.
The whole aim of the Pet Welfare Alliance and Canine Health Concern is to counteract the sales propaganda and share news about canine health so that every dog has a chance at a happy, long-lived life.
We need to keep telling the good news to as many people as possible. If we don't buy it - they can't sell it. It is as simple as that!
We know that our members and supporters are extremely powerful. You are the people who go out to the dog clubs and parks and talk to dog owners, doing all you can to help our canine friends. We’ve made leaflets available to help you do this, and more recently we’ve published small and inexpensive booklets that tell people more.
So we thought we’d make it into a campaign.
The Campaign
We are asking everyone who supports the PWA to do one thing:
Give one dog owner a piece of information that can change their lives forever.
There are four ways you can do this: 1) Give a booklet to a friend or family member 2) Speak to someone on a walk and ask if they would read a booklet if you gave it to them 3) Approach your dog club and ask them to read it, or offer them a pack of ten for them to make available to their members 4) If you have rescue kennels or breed, then buy a pack and hand out to new owners etc (or if you have boarding kennels, then hand out to customers) |
The Pet Welfare Alliance, in conjunction with Canine Health Concern (the PWA's parent non-profit organisation), has produced a 40+ page booklet called:
'Common Questions About Dog Health'
This provides information on vaccination, vaccine alternatives, diet, parasite control, pain relief, and use of conventional veterinary drugs.
Unfortunately the PWA (or CHC) does not have the funds to make this publication available for free, but we have set the price for PWA supporters and CHC subscribers at a low level that anyone can afford to buy at least one copy and, in doing so, help us to help the dogs.
All prices include shipping.
