Campaign for Drug Transparency
VetAllTrials is an international campaign to make registering all trials on veterinary drugs compulsory (it will also be publicly available).
Currently companies only register trials that they want to be seen. That is, if various trials are conducted on a particular product then a drug manufacturer can (and does) register the most favourable ones and ignores the less favourable ones. Giving a better impression of the drug's efficacy and safety, that leads to an improved chance of going to market and selling as a safe and effective drug.
You can see how this works as shown on this Economist Clinical Trial Simulator.
There is already a human AllTrials campaign that has support across the board in conjunction with the World Health Organisation including the medical profession, some drug companies, and investors in those companies. They have made huge strides towards making this a reality - one that includes all past trials (so we will be able to see the true nature of drugs already on the market).
VetAllTrials is aligned with the human AllTrials. It has only just been launched in July 2015 and they are at the initial stages of looking to appoint a consortium to take it forward
This needs your support!
1) Please complete the survey.
2) Please sign the petition.
3) Please ask everyone you know to do so.
We have already been in contact with VetAllTrials and made our position VERY clear - this needs to be implemented so that when the register is in place, it has the required impact at a local level. That is, when you take your pet to your vet, not only will your vet already know the actual facts on the drugs he has to use on your pet, but he will be open to honest discussion with you (and if you need to make that information available to him) - true informed consent. This of course so often currently does not happen and our loved ones pay the price. If we are to stand a chance of making informed consent a reality this is the time that you need to:
Complete the survey
Sign the petition
And get everyone you know to do the same.

Here's a quote from article:
“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of the New England Journal of Medicine.” – Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and longtime editor-in-chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ)
